7 Scary Digital Art Designs

To find the best artwork for this post I put myself in the perspective of the artist. What if, I asked, I happened upon any of these scenes? This allowed me to separate artwork that was scary for its context, not just its content. The result are seven terrifying scenes that I think you’ll agree would stop your heart if you happened upon them.

Scary by deathstryker

The image in this artwork doesn’t post an immediate threat, but it would take a brave soul indeed to continue on to the castle walls.

Angel of Death by a-m

Let’s say you’re walking through your church, alone, when this appears. What do you do?

Death by vantid

The connotation of this artwork is sinister, the end of days for you. We’re inundated with scary images of what we imagine to be Death from hood to cloak; but what if you were so close you could smell its rotting breath?

Zombie Apocalypse by geodex

Remember that scene in “Independence Day” when Will Smith’s character finally looks up and sees the giant alien craft? What if he saw this instead? What if you saw this?

Terror at 20,000 Feet by 2HeadedMonster

This is a take on “The Twilight Zone” episode “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet,” and I challenge you to control yourself (as both William Shatner and John Lithgow could not) if you looked out your airplane window and saw this on the wing.

Nightmares Reign by geodex

As children, we were convinced that this actually happens. What we never understood is why they didn’t follow through and take us away. As a parent, this is one of the last things I want to see.

Ghosts by geodex

I think this is the scariest scene here. Not because it is threatening, but because you can almost imagine it really happening. What would you do? Try to make contact? Turn tail and run? Hide and hope they didn’t see you? Snap a photo? I think I’d try snapping a photo – then I’d hightail it out of there!
