			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Most businesses want to have <a href="http://www.psprint.com/letterhead">personalized stationery</a> to go along with their <a href="http://www.psprint.com/business-cards">business cards</a> and <a href="http://www.psprint.com/envelopes">envelopes</a>, but what about their e-mail? <span id="more-5001"></span> An e-mail signature might not be enough to tell their recipients about who their business is and strengthen their brand.</p>
<p>Along with creating regular letterhead, try creating a free <a href="http://www.psprint.com/creative/downloads/templates/more_printing_templates.asp">stationery template</a> header and footer for your clients’ e-mail as well as their print materials. Using the same design for the letterhead, make a duplicate file and bring the resolution down to 72dpi. You may have to play around a little bit with the width of the header and footer to come up with design that spans the e-mail in an attractive way.</p>
<p>Your client can place the picture into their e-mail by using the insert picture option. Keep in mind that web-based e-mails such as Hotmail and Yahoo might not have the option to insert pictures in this way; or you can create the e-mail in your own e-mail client and then forward it to your client.  That way, they can see how the recipient will be able to view their e-mail, and use that e-mail as a template to create all of their additional e-mails from.</p>

<p>Envelope <a href="http://www.psprint.com/resources/printing-tips-and-techniques/envelopes/envelope-printing-techniques.asp">printing</a> can be crucial to the success of your sales letters. Remarkably, many sales letters get thrown out before they are even read. Shocking, but true. How do you keep that from happening to yours? The design and printing on the envelope is your only hope. Both have to try and establish a company identity and display a purpose in a bold and direct way. All the while it has to be simple and easy to understand. </p>
<p>The brighter, the better, when it comes to any design, but even more so in envelope printing. It is simple logic to know that brighter colors attract more attention that the duller hues. Be careful though, the post office has some specific rules about where fold have to be and what areas have to be left for their use. The best bet is to try and find a printer that will offer you a basic <a href="http://www.psprint.com/creative/downloads/templates/envelope_printing_templates.asp">template</a> to build from.</p>
<p>The lowly envelope may not seem like a lot to many people, but envelope printing can very important to the success of every marketing campaign that your company embarks on. Like a letterhead, envelopes say a lot about the company. An envelope’s message is shaped by its color, size, format, type, graphics, seal, contour, paper and texture. They may be minimal or elaborate, simple or sophisticated. How we respond to them is determined by the design.</p>
<p>There are many standard sizes. While a printer is capable of producing any size and shape, keep in mind that it’s much more cost effective to use a standard size. Consult your printer to get a list of existing sizes of envelopes that match your paper stock. Envelopes that are already folded and glued will be much less expensive than envelopes that need to be converted. The only draw back of using already converted envelopes is that you must keep printing at least ¼-inch away from the edge. There are a few other considerations. To qualify for standard postage prices your envelope much be a rectangle, it must be at least 3-1/2 inches high by 5 inches long and 0.007 inches thick and no more than 6-1/8 inches high by 11-1/2 inches long and 1/4 inches thick.</p>
<p>The last, but certainly not the least design consideration is the area that needs to stay clear for the mailing address, postage and routing codes, consult <a href="http://www.usps.com/">USPS</a> for exact specifications, based on the size of your envelope. Or take a mock up of your design to the post office before you print it.</p>
<p>Of course, your design solutions should maintain continuity with your other corporate identity pieces, but don’t be afraid to give it some flare and push the boundaries.</p>
