Best Valentine’s Day Gifts for Graphic Designers

Do you have a special graphic designer in your life? Skip the chocolates and diamonds this Valentine's Day and get your better half one of these awesome gifts that had to have been invented with graphic designers in mind! ‘Designer’ shirts Let's begin with the obvious and move on to the outrageous, shall we? Good. I like the Cafe Press Odd Matter shirts for graphic designers. With phrases such as “No I won't make the logo bigger” and “I dream in CMYK,” I think you will, too. Woodgrain portfolio Like the shirts but want to step it up a notch? Get your loved one this aluminum portfolio case with cherry wood veneer. An eye-catching yet elegant way to begin a proposal, wouldn't you agree? Major gift time OK, so if you're the type that likes to spend a lot, and I mean a lot, of money on your special someone on Valentine's Day, and they're a graphic designer, they will absolutely love you if you go with a Wacom Cintiqu 21UX. Hey, it's only $2,000! Office fun OK, enough of the business stuff – there are plenty of posts espousing the virtues of purchasing your favorite graphic designer software subscriptions and USB flash drives. You know what I want? A remote control tarantula. Mere words cannot express the sheer joy one of these contraptions could bring in an office environment. For the job haters For the person who has everything but the job he wants. You know the type: severely talented but can't catch a break at the big firms, relegated to menial tasks at the little design boutique he is stuck in. Give him the Beer Belly and he'll start having fun at work again – or at least get fired trying, in which case he won't hate his job anymore. It's a win-win!

Sonia: I'm going to be sure to plant the idea of a remote control tarantula in David's head.

Imagine the hours of fun with an eight-inch, eight-legged, hairy spider programmed to obey your every command! At home or the office, it's definitely a boredom-buster!

I want some typography furniture. There's this table I saw with legs that were Garamond H's. Loved it.

That would be awesome Aaron! Do you have a link to the Garamond H-leg table? I looked but couldn't find them... the almighty Internet wasn't revealing its secrets to me today, but I would still love to see what those tables looked like! Thanks for posting :)

Thanks for the link Roxy! I dig the "typo" bag. Nice site altogether, by the way. Best of luck to you!
