Get Noticed with Anti-Boredom Business Cards

What are anti-boredom business cards? In short, they're interactive business cards that pass as entertainment, no matter how crudely devised. Yes, I believe I've coined the term. What benefit do anti-boredom business cards have for you? They keep your brand front-and-center. This is how it works. Let's say you're forced to attend yet another boring, fruitless meeting or a seminar with a lot of “networking” time – what we know as sitting around and waiting. Boring, right? OK, but what if someone handed you their business card and on the back it had a fun game, trivia or other means of entertainment? The next thing you know, you're playing along, enjoying yourself, and even sharing with other attendees. And, if the business card goes viral, so does the company that produces it. Here are some good examples of ways you can design your own anti-boredom business cards: A game: Anything from tic-tac-toe and die-cut checkers to a new and unique game you've come up with on your own will do. Trivia: How about some fun trivia questions, relevant to your target audience, that they'll love to share with their friends and co-workers? Jokes: Everyone loves humor, and tasteful jokes that hit the mark with your target audience will be shared – and laughter and good feelings will be associated with your company. Go mobile: Many people turn to their mobile devices to fight boredom; you can take advantage of this by printing a list of the top anti-boredom mobile applications or sites, or by developing your own anti-boredom application and giving the address to it on the back of your business cards. No matter how you do it, make sure your brand and contact information are prominently displayed on the back of your business cards, alongside your anti-boredom matter. Then, you'll be the toast of the next boring business engagement!
