3 Print Marketing Tools to Try in 2012

Think your print marketing arsenal is limited to Adobe products? Think again! Some of the most innovative marketing tools today have nothing to do with Creative Suite. The following three print marketing tools will help you increase business in 2012. 1. QR codes By now, you know what they are and what they do. There's no denying that print marketing often serves as a way to drive customers to your website (and a powerful way at that!). You can make your own QR codes with both free and paid QR code generators. BeQRious has a free version here. Place QR codes on your posters, postcards, business cards, flyers, banners and more. 2. AR codes The next generation in QR codes, Augmented Reality promises to be the hot new trend for 2012. AR is a little more complicated than QR because its media is more interactive. You can hire firms that specialize in AR, or you can put your tech savvy to the test by downloading the AR Toolkit or similar software and generating your own AR codes. Place AR codes on your print marketing materials: posters, business cards, postcards, catalogs, flyers, banners, invitations and more. 3. Guerrilla marketing services While not specifically a “tool,” many small businesses have shied away from employing tactics such as public promotion placement and street team marketing. Maybe 2012 is the year to test the waters with a big city poster campaign that reaches millions of potential customers with unique display placement. Search for poster placement services or guerrilla marketing services to find a company you can work with. One such company is Poster Giant.
