5 Simple Tricks For Black Friday Profits

If you want to maximize Black Friday profits this year but don’t have the marketing budget of Walmart, Best Buy and other big chains, you can still earn more than your fair share of business by taking advantage of the following five simple tricks for Black Friday profits.

1. Get a head start

If you operate a small business you can get a head start on your Black Friday marketing by sending postcards or strategically distributing banners early – 10 to 14 days before Thanksgiving. Make your Black Friday offer available for the entire duration leading up to the big day to encourage customers to skip the crowds and finish their holiday shopping early, all while still getting a great deal.

2.  Focus on your differences

How are you different than big box stores? What customer benefits can you offer that they cannot? What makes your brand important to your customers? What can you do better than anyone else? How are you unique and different from the competition? The answers to these questions should form the foundation of your Black Friday marketing campaign to help set you apart from the competition and serve as a “perfect gift” destination.

3.  Bundle gift packages

If you have some single items that aren’t selling well individually, you can combine them into gift packages for Black Friday sales. Doing so makes it easy for customers to cross names off their lists with single purchases, and they’ll want to buy because attractive gift packages have more perceived value than individual products.

4.  Provide gift wrapping services

Add-on products and services such as gift wrapping, complete with bows and greeting cards, can tack extra profits on each sale and really add up over time. Customers are busy and are happy to pay you to save them the time and hassle involved with wrapping gifts.

5.  Get creative with your marketing

Newspaper ad inserts are great for Black Friday marketing, no doubt; but you can reach customers where your competitors aren’t if you’re willing to get a bit creative. Stickers can lead customers to your storefront or your special sales, for example, while car door magnets can promote your Black Friday specials wherever you go.
