If you’re looking for some new, cool Easter marketing ideas, you’ve come to the right place. Check out these Easter marketing ideas for landing more sales and growing your business this spring.
1. QR codes on Easter eggs
Print stickers featuring QR codes to place on colorful Easter eggs and distribute them in areas your customers frequent. They won’t be able to resist scanning your eggs with their smartphones and other devices, and you’ll be able to take them to a video, web page, mobile app or product purchase page.
2. Easter basket door hangers
Design door hangers that can be die cut and folded to resemble Easter baskets, then stuff them with goodies and blanket customers’ neighborhoods with your candied message!
3. Adult Easter egg hunt
Why should kids get all the fun? Invite adults to participate in an Easter egg hunt instead! You could “hide” eggs throughout your store or shopping district, each filled with a printed discount coupon or freebie. Fill one egg with an attractive grand prize to yield an excellent turnout.
4. Host a “Bunny Trail”
Downtown merchants host the Bunny Trail every year in my hometown, and it’s a major affair in which hundreds (maybe thousands) of kids (and parents) walk from business to business. The businesses offer some form of entertainment or goodies for the kids (the Easter bunny at one, a magician at another, a free slice of pizza at another, etc.), and parents always walk away with marketing materials in-hand. You can partner with your neighboring businesses and Chamber of Commerce to host a similar event that benefits everyone. It’s a great way to get cheap exposure for your business.
5. Host a fun Easter contest
This idea could work for both adults and kids. Instead of doing yet another egg hunt, you can run kids through an Easter-themed obstacle course complete with egg tossing, egg-nose rolling, and bunny hopping. If you want to run a special for adults, have fun at the register with an egg toss contest. Require two people to be making a purchase, then have them toss an egg back and forth, taking a step farther apart with each successful catch. Offer one percent off their purchase for each successful catch (you can cap this, of course, so you’re not giving your products away). Market your contest with vinyl banners, door hangers and/or direct-mail marketing. Do you have any fun, cool, or new Easter marketing ideas? Share in the comments below.
