Return on investment: Print pays off

Marketing isn't always an easy thing to sink your time and money into when you’re just starting out. After all, how can you really guarantee that you’ll get the money back on your investment? If it is done incorrectly, you can end up spending a lot of money for something that doesn’t do anything to get people interested in buying from you. So why take the risk?

The benefits of marketing are too important to pass up and can make a business grow when done right just as fast as it can make them sink when done wrong. The thing you need to know is how to do your marketing right. You can not skip over the importance of integrating your print marketing with online advertisements. The first thing you need to be aware of are the different types of advertisements and what will work best for your company. Know the entire gambit and what strengths each form has.

Take a close look at newsletter printing. The benefits of newsletters deal with the ability to give a customer a good look into the inner workings of your company. People like to feel close to a company and to get to know them better. By sending out a newsletter you’re giving them the ability to see your employees, find out about recent developments within your company and make a more informed decision when it comes to buying from you.

No matter what kind of advertisements you choose, be careful to test the waters before you dive head long into them. Send out a few advertisements at first to see how successful they are and what kind of response you get. Only after you know that you’re working with the right style should you sink more of your time and money into it.

Of course, knowing your audience will help you figure out faster which style is going to work. Different industries and different types of people are going to have different styles they prefer. A custom CRM program will help you with that along with a good customer service department. Too often a company will focus more on themselves while forgetting that it’s really all about the customer.

When writing a print campaign, businesses sometime fail to form a strong selling point, the reason why the customer should buy their products, and because of this the campaign will fall flat. The greater your general consciousness is about marketing the better your chances will be of having success.

Do you use a CRM or other method of tracking customer activity.

About Jerry Brisinger

I am the Marketing Director of a small media development company. We deal with hardware, software, and hard goods. As part owner of that company, I am able to see many of the true inner workings of the decision making process. Over my years in the marketing field I have striven to show simplify people's way of thinking on the subject. Many executives and small business owners try to over complicate the entire idea. They are wrong. In my posts I hope to show you what it is that I mean.
