Whether you need inspiration for a Valentine's day or Easter promotion, or step-by-step instructions on how to use a certain Photoshop tool, there are many online tutorial resources out there to help you. For freelance graphic designers working on promotions and printed marketing materials for clients, these four tutorial sites feature helpful guides for creating edgy, inspired campaigns.

1. Abuzeedo.com Under its tutorials section, Abuzeedo.com offers 3-D design, logo design, poster design and many other Photoshop and Illustrator-specific tutorials. Step-by-step instructions are illustrated by screenshots of the particular software program being used. 2. Adobetutorialz.com This clean, easy-to-use website contains tons of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator tutorials. The tutorials are detailed and explained with screenshots of the software in use. There are tons of specific ideas on the site, such as "How to create an Easter postcard," or "How to create a colorful Valentine's Day background." 3. Psd.Tutsplus.com An offshoot of the main website, Tutsplus.com, Psd.tutsplus.com contains tons of Photoshop tutorials. There are very specific lessons, such as "How to create a fashion poster," and more general overviews, such as "A basic guide to Photoshop's 3-D tools." Also check out Vector.tutsplus.com for illustrator-specific guides. 4. Ideabook.com/tutorials A great resource to mine for ideas and tips, Ideabook.com's tutorial section contains posts with practical ideas and advice such as "How to create illustrated headlines." Another post on logo design shares ideas and even specific fonts and colors to execute a corporate identity design on letterhead, business cards and other formats.
