Here's a bunch of blog posts and design resources from around the web all about FIFA World Cup and graphic design. These links cover poster design, logo design, information graphics and more! Enjoy the World Cup! David Watson of Trebleseven Design created a double-sided typographic World Cup poster. The poster helps fans track all the game scores and wins/losses. It's available for purchase on Trebleseven's site and here. Proceeds from the poster sales go to UNICEF and benefit children worldwide. On Inspired Mag there is a collection of 2010 FIFA World Cup information graphics. The collection is curated by Tiago Veloso from Visual Loop and features the above image, from Wired Magazine UK June 2010, showing an infographic of how a mathematical equation could predict the winner. Abuzeedo.com rounded up the shields for each of the 32 nations competing in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and asks which ones viewers like the best. It's interesting to see them all in one place. Above is Cameroon's awesome lion shield. Artatm has a post on the evolution of World Cup Design, showing posters for the World Cup dating from 1930 until the present. This poster above is from Swizterland for the 1954 World Cup. On this site, you can view a history of the World Cup posters, logos and mascots all in one place. An older blog post, from 2006, but a thoughtful one on "Design and the World Cup: What can we learn?" Posted on presentationzen.com, the post discusses the 2006 FIFA World Cup logo from Germany, shown above. Download some fan-created wallpapers or FIFA World Cup icons at underworldmagazines.com, including this image created by Bram Vanhaeren. A post about the recently revealed 2014 Fifa World Cup logo for Brazil on logoblog.org and the controversy of the logo's spelling Brazil with a "z" and not an "s."
