I love when an artist uses an uncommon media to create art. When you think of thread, you think of the fibers that are used to sew things together or create needle point. But Devorah Sperber went even further and used the whole spool… or should I say thousands of spools to create unique creations. Her intricate masterpieces hang from ceilings and walls, stunning passers by every day. Her work has been commissioned by numerous businesses and even hangs in museums. Her media also goes outside of thread spools to the use of chenille stems and rugs. Here are 10 spectacular Devorah Sperber originals:
