You’re tired, you’re discouraged and you wake up one morning thinking to yourself: I just don’t feel like working anymore. Maybe you had a bad exchange with a client.
Maybe the clients aren’t coming at the rate you expected. Whatever the reason, you’re really feeling down. It’s normal. Not everyday is going to be the best day, and those bad days are going to come, no matter what. Unfortunately I can’t promise a solution to that, but I can give you some tips to help boost that confidence in your business to keep taking it one day at a time. Set reachable goals - When you set goals that are obtainable, reaching them will give you a much needed sense of accomplishment. Face past mistakes and let them go - Write down a list of mistakes that have hurt or embarrassed you the most and physically ball the list up and throw it away. This allows you to detach yourself from them and help you to move on. Practice positive affirmations - Make a list of things that you like about yourself. When a negative thought pops into your mind, add another thing that you like about yourself to the list. Read over this list when discouragement creeps up. Find something new that you enjoy doing – By completing tasks that you not only like to do, but are good at, you will feel a sense of success needed to boost your confidence. Do things for others – Nothing will make your problems seem smaller than spending time with those less fortunate. Volunteer for your favorite charity or worthy cause, and it will shed a whole new light on your situation. Ask a few trusted friends/family to list your strengths - Their answers may surprise you and give you a perspective you never had before.
