Twitter as a business tool

twitter-logoCompanies are interested in Twitter because they know that conversation is a powerful and persuasive tool on the internet right now and Twitter is where that conversation is happening right now.

The more Twitter grows the more it will be used.

Here are some interesting facts about Twitter:

 

  • it is the fastest growing community of the internet

  • in the last twelve months Twitter grew by 1,385%

  • the biggest demographic is the 35-49 year olds

The internet has always allowed businesses to reach new markets, but Twitter took it to another level and allowed them to engage in active communication with large numbers of customers. This is an unparalleled opportunity and an effective advertising tool. Twitter is great for branding and customer interaction. It gives your customers another chance to give feedback...positive or negative. If the feedback is negative, it offers the chance to fix the problem one last time before you lose a customer forever.

I may not think that Twitter is here to stay, but it is growing at a phenomenal rate. It has proven me wrong so far. What do you think about it?
