Must-See TV Design

Let’s face it: Television marketing is rarely fantastic. It’s often sloppy cutouts of people Photoshopped against a stock location backdrop with the show’s logo slapped on. That’s where fan art steps in. TV shows that have an ardent following often inspire fan fiction – wherein people write their own fantasy works based on shows’ characters – as well as design. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that cult-television viewers tend to be creative, as the collection below proves. Notice all the different styles, from anime to minimalist to grunge to comic. The creators include such well-known artists as Bryan Lee O’Malley and Tom Whalen to people who just design for fun. Do you have a favorite piece of TV fan art?
