If you’re a graphic artist, I’m sure you can agree with me when I say, enough Scriptia! Enough Times New Roman! Enough Zapfino! Sure, these fonts are pretty, and if used correctly, they can enhance any elegant graphic project just right, but there are millions and millions of fonts out there that are even cooler and can give your graphic projects that unique edge. When I first started off in design, I always admired people who had just the right font in their project. I thought to myself, “Wow! I wish I had the money to afford those packages where you can get ‘100 of the best fonts ever created.’” Little did I know that there was a whole free world available to me simply because I had the Internet. Then I came across some really cool free font websites, and to my dismay, it seemed like I was being punished because I had a Mac. All of the cool looking fonts were only for PCs, and I had to dig even deeper. So unfair! But as my search continued, I was not disappointed. I’ve come to rely on many different sites to acquire the fonts that I need, but these by far are my top four favorites (especially for Mac users): • Dafont.com • UrbanFonts.com • 1001 Fonts.com • Font Garden Remember, the key to being a great graphic artist is finding your unique niche and working it! So separate yourself from the Zapfinos of the world, and spice up your next project with a new and different font … for free! What do you think? Do you have any free font websites you like to use?
Spice up your graphic work with cool, free fonts
