A City Within a City

Landscape photography is a beautiful art expression. But what happens when a photographer shows what our world would be like turned upside down. That’s exactly how Japanese architect/photographer Kazuhiko Kawahara challenges us to see the world. His intricate cityscapes are turned, flipped and integrated in ways that resemble optical illusions. The seamless fusion of these photographs show off Kazuhiko’s ability to see how each of our surroundings are connected. Pushing these lines of continuity has proven this artist a visionary who doesn’t just take pictures of his environment, but creates his own.
