You get only one chance to make a first impression, so PsPrint customer Brenna Lindblad makes a splash when she hands out her business card, featuring her beautiful illustration of a woman wading in a pond, that PsPrint printed.

The gorgeous card certainly caught the eye of the judges for PsPrint’s recent
Customer Artwork Contest, earning Lindblad a prize. Both of Lindblad’s parents are artists, so she began drawing at a very early age. “But it wasn't until after high school that I thought about becoming an illustrator,” Lindblad told me.

Five years ago, Lindblad graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, she has been illustrating ever since. Her favorite art jobs, she says, are the ones that provide new insight into cultures and people. Also, any project that allows Lindblad to learn a new skill or have a new experience is “the best!” Lindblad says she finds inspiration in other artists. “I look at the work of other illustrators, but I also look at fine art online, in books and at museums,” Lindblad said. “I also get great imagery from reading books and talking about dream projects with other creative people.” And just what are those dream projects? “I have so many!” Lindblad responded. “I would love to illustrate stationery, design toys and textiles for kids, work on a board game, create more video games, and illustrate children's books.” In the meantime, Lindblad unwinds by playing video games, sketching, hanging out at the beach, and
reading, as you can see here:
