You never know what creative business concepts PsPrint customers will come up with. There was that time I discovered Flora Davis’ cat hair jewelry Etsy shop. This week brings recent printing jobs for a number of other unique companies. There’s Photobooth in San Francisco, which bills itself as the world’s only tintype and Polaroid portrait studio. Really – can you think of another? I didn’t think so. Then there’s Creativebug, which offers online video tutorials in crocheting, printmaking, upcycling and other crafts. Based on my ill attempt at learning to knit in a weekly studio class, I now recognize the importance of having an educational website available 24/7 for a refresher. Photobooth and Creativebug both use postcard marketing as a way to get the word out about their businesses – you get a lot of real estate for your images and text, and anyone can shove a postcard in their bag to peruse later.
