There’s nothing much more personal than marrying your partner and embarking on the rest of your lives together. So why would you pick and choose wedding invitations and decorations from a catalog that hordes of people have flipped through and selected from before? Do-it-yourself (DIY) weddings are catching on more and more for a number of reasons: 1. You save money by cutting out the middleman, whether it’s a wedding planner or other types of workers. 2. The ceremony and reception reflect the tastes of the couple rather than a wedding planner’s idea of what it should be. 3. DIY can mean a more eco-friendly wedding if you choose to recycle materials such as mason jars for centerpieces. Also, you’re less inclined to throw away personalized decorations. A customized wedding starts off with save-the-date cards and invitations. For inspiration, check out our “Hot Off the Press” devoted entirely to wedding postcards, invitations, magnets and stickers printed here at PsPrint. Then read on for more wedding printing and decorations that couples worked on themselves and with the help of creative friends. I'm getting married next year and we've been looking for inspiration to help us make our wedding special, but not cost the earth! We have made good use of our friends and have saved a lot of money by getting them to each do different bits for us, like the cake, photography etc.
So many great ideas here, I almost want to pinch them all! ;-) Thanks.
I'm getting married next month, and I think I'll use the chalkboard idea ... super cool!
Yes! I love the sentiment and the old-timey look of the chalkboard sign.
