Halloween is my favorite time of the year, not just because I’m a kid-at-heart who loves to visit haunted houses and create a costume but also because of all the great promotional materials – lots of dark and bold colors, creeptastic characters and ghastly fonts. This week’s “Hot Off the Press” is my biggest collection of design inspiration yet, and that’s because I could not get enough of PsPrint customers’ terrifyingly creative printing orders. Stickers are devilishly popular – from KA-BAR’s Zombie Knives to Pan’s Devil Horns to Ghost Hunters United. Postcards scare up attention for Darkvisions Haunted Attractions and the Telluride Horror Show. Posters, business cards, flyers and brochures round up the rest of the print materials in this killer collection of Halloween-themed marketing. October is an exciting time for marketing. It’s, in my opinion, the official start of the holiday season, because for the next six months you get to work on the most fun holidays: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day. If you’re ahead of the game and already working on holiday promotions, please let me know in the Comments, and you might be included in a future “Hot Off the Press”! For more traditional graphic design inspiration, take a look at last week’s edition.
